MEMORY – A NAZI FEMALE GESTAPO AGENT HAS TROUBLE REMEMBER HER PAST

From YANK Magazine

GERMANY—Among the prize catches of the 102d Infantry Division in the last days of the war was an attractive and much-married female Gestapo agent whose current and fourth husband was an SS major General. Interrogated at her hideaway house in the woods by German-born Edward Hoffer of New York City, the good frau was much embarrassed by one question. She couldn’t remember the first name of her first husband, with whom she had lived for seven years until 1929.
