ATTACKS BY V1 BUZZ-BOMBS CONTINUE ON SOUTHERN ENGLAND

With few interludes, the Germans continued their robot-bomb attacks on London and Southern England over the weekend, causing damage and casualties. One bomb crashed into a block of flats Saturday night, killing three persons and injuring a number of others. A school also was severely damaged, but 30 persons sleeping in the basement were uninjured.

    I was in London on an occasion of attacks by “buzz bombs.” Not enough space to tell the whole story but there is no doubt they were an effective psychological weapon as well as one that randomly struck London and killed people as well as destroying buildings in that densely packed city.
