The diaries of Heinrich Himmler, leader of the dreaded SS and architect of the Holocaust, have recently surfaced revealing the Nazi leaders last days.
The 1,000 pages comprehensively chronicle Himmler’s wartime activities ranging from the systematic murder of Jews, purchasing guard dogs for the Auschwitz death camp to phone calls with his daughter.
The Jewish Chronicle reports parts of Himmler’s diaries had been discovered in the 1950’s but these “service diaries” were reportedly captured by the Red Army and housed near Moscow where they were archived and forgotten until now.
The diaries have been deemed authentic by the German Historical Institute and give insight into the mind of one of the worst criminals of the 20th century.
On Tuesday, Germany’s Bild newspaper began publishing parts of the diaries.
Heinrich Himmler was born on October 7, 1900. He joined the Nazi party in 1923 and was appointed the leader of Hitler’s Schutzstaffel (protection squad) in 1929. On Hitler’s behalf, Himmler and his SS built and ran the Nazi death camps leading to the murder of over 6 million Jews and millions of others deemed unfit to live by the Nazis.
Himmler was captured by the Allies on May 21, 1945 and on May 23 committed suicide after biting a cyanide capsule during a medical inspection. He was buried in an unmarked grave.
The world should never forget the inhumanities perpetrated upon the human race by the German people led by the Satanic Hitler.
